One-77 production good to go

The Aston Martin One-77 has been involved in a rigorous engineering test programme over the past nine months, including a sign-off at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, widely acclaimed as the world's toughest and most unforgiving test track.
One-77 production good to goIn what Aston Martin is calling its "ultimate expression of design, engineering and craftsmanship", the British brand's new One-77 coupe has been certified for production, the unique model boasting what Aston says is "unparalleled V12 performance".
Set to grace the production line at Gaydon from early 2011, the One-77 will feature a 7.3-litre twelve-cylinder engine developing 750bhp (559kW) and 750Nm, positioning it as the most powerful naturally aspirated road car engine in the world today.
In April of this year the One-77 made its on-road debut as part of the Tourist Trophy where it led a parade of supercars taking the Trophy from London's Pall Mall to the Silverstone circuit where it performed some hot laps.
A short film series outlining the development of the One-77 shows the first complete engineering car in motion on the test track. Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin and Marek Reichman, Director of Design commentating on the fundamental elements of what makes the One-77 so unique.
"The One-77 is approaching a production reality and of course, there is considerable excitement in the project," said Dr Bez. "Now the next steps are all about details and refinement to complete the composition. I know the final car will demonstrate what the Aston Martin team is capable of."
Available in extremely exclusive numbers, first deliveries of the One-77 are expected to commence in early 2011.
